I just wanted to say thank you to a few people for some special packages I've recieved recently.
First to my high school classmate Desire Hunt, now Desiree Floyd. Des sent packages to myself and 2 of my classmates who are currently deployed. Thank you.
To John "The Plumber" Beckam and all the folks at American Legion Post 502 in South Haven (Portage) Indiana. John coordinated sending 7 boxes of bar soap, gatorade mix, shampoo, gum, funnels for the gatorade mix and other items for my guys. Here's a picture.
To my Aunt Shirley for the 'toothbrush'. :)
Also thank you to Traci Bednarick's 6th grade students at te Eagle Crest Charter Academy in Holland MI. They sent me some really nice letters.
Special thanks to my in-laws, Don and Marge Lambert. They have sent several packages. The most recent of which had some great pictures of my son Evan with Beth's nephew Josh. Josh joined the Army last summer and is now stationed in Alaska.
And thank to everyone who has sent emails over the last few months. I'm sorry that I can't reply to everyone. But please know that I do read your messages and appreciate them very much.
Stars and Stripes, the newspaper for deployed soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines since WWII, published a great article today regarding care packages. It really sums up the joys and heartaches of recieving care packages. It's pretty funny.

For those wondering what to send, or wanting to send packages to someone besides me, here's a great place to go.
Thanks,
Micah
